No Conspiracy Shall Stand Against You!
We read in the book of Joshua 10 of how certain kings colluded with one another in order make Joshua fail. However, the sweet news is that God prevailed over them.
There are some people whose duty is simply to conspire in other to wreck havoc on others. They are often angry about the progress of their neighbours or friends. This act is against God's wish and anyone who does this is certainly an enemy of God. We read of how God himself defended the Israelites. In fact he instructed Joshua not to bother.
Joshua 10:8 KJV-
"And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee." By these great words of God, Joshua was able to prevail over them.
The same way Joshua prevailed over all the enemies of Israel, so shall you prevail over whatever situations confronting you in Jesus name.

Waiting Upon God is a Great Gain
Waiting upon the Lord for anything whatsoever (life partner, good job, business idea, fruit of the womb, financial breakthrough etc.) could turn out to be the most tedious task ever.
As believers we expectantly pray to God for one breakthrough or another and we wait patiently for Him to answer us.
He said in his word in the book of Isaiah 40:31 KJV
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Delay is not denial and that you are yet to receive answers to your prayers does not mean God is deaf to hear you.He is an ever-listening God.
Of course, those who wait on the Lord may have sorrow, for a light is sown in darkness; however, joy will spring up with the day. Psalms 30:5 KJV states
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
Truthfully, there is a great gain in waiting for God to answer you. If you have earnestly asked Him for something, be rest assured that He will answer you in due time.
The promise of God is in Psalms 37:9 KJV and it states
"For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord , they shall inherit the earth."
Dear brethren, I will implore you to
"Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." (Psalms 27:14 KJV)

Do God's Will, Get Positive Feedbacks!
In the book of Jeremiah 37, we read a story about a certain King (King Zedekiah) who with his people never hearkened unto the word of God yet craved to hear positive prophecies from God.
Truthfully, you can only get good feedbacks from God if you do His will and this is evident at several points in the bible. People who hear God speak to them are those whose lives have totally been regenerated to him. God is too holy to speak to a filthy person.
Just take a brief look at the description in Psalms 24:3-4 KJV
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."
God may decide not to be silent unto an unholy person like he did to King Zedekiah. God responded to him via Prophet Jeremaih but it was to his disadvantage. The same things applies to an unbeliever.
Jeremiah 37:9 KJV
states, "Thus saith the Lord ; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart."
God is loving to his own Children and indeed guarantees their safety at all times. The question you need to ask now is how can I become God's child? You can be His child if you do His will and if you diligently hearken and obey His words. He will adopt you willingly.

The 'Church Girl'- 10
At exactly 2am every Sunday, a scream was often heard from Feranmi's room. Her parents really had no clue as to the reason for that and they had not taken any precautionary measure.
But on one particular Sunday night, Mrs. George decided to check in her daughter's room. She had set alarm before going to bed. She hid behind the door and was ready to open same at exactly 2am. She wore her wristwatch and was waiting patiently.
Immediately it was 1:59am, she opened the door and lo and behold, she found a rat scratching the leg of her daughter. Feranmi screamed as usual and the rat fled within infinitesimal second.Mrs. George gently traced the hideout of the rat and found out that it was just behind her daughter's wardrobe.
She woke Feranmi up and took her to the Master bedroom. Mr. George was also awake and was wondering what had happened considering the time. "Darling! I'm sure u wouldn't believe what has been frightening Oluwaferanmi for a while now" Mrs
.George spoke quietly.
"Sweetheart, I can't wait to know", he said inquisitively
"Rat" she answered affirmatively and burst into uncontrollable giggles.
By the next morning, she left an instruction for Nkechi before going to work. "The bricklayer will come before noon.I will call him on the phone. So make sure you show him the hole so he can block it permanently" Mrs. George directed her maid and left for work.

His Show of Love!
2 Corinthians 5:21 avers "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
Throughout the sojourn of Jesus Christ on earth, he was not found with any sin -not even one.He was blameless which makes him the most unique creature that ever existed.
The man 'Jesus Christ' is simply indescribable. His love for human race made him sacrifice himself for mankind. John 15:13 states that
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Jesus Christ died so that we might live. He voluntarily laid down his life for us.
Often times, as humans we feel very remorseful when we see an individual being punished for an offence he/she did not commit.
Imagine a man who the bible never recorded any sin for, suffering for the sins of the entire human race.Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for generations living and yet unborn.
Each time a person sins, or a believer backslides, Jesus Christ would of course be unhappy with the regression. We are continuously expected to practice righteous living. This would make our saviour happy and his presence would always be with us.

With God Nothing is Impossible
When Elisha prophesied in the book of 2Kings 7:1 that food would be sold at unbelievable amounts at the gate of Samaria someone doubted (anyone could have). A particular officer working for the King demeaned the prophesy asking the silliest question "If the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be"?
Right there on the spot, he got an instant judgement from Prophet Elisha; why, simply because he doubted God's prophecy.
Prophet Elisha told him of course he would witness it with his eyes, BUT he shall not eat of it. Within few minutes/hours something miraculous occurred which attested to the infallibility of God's word.
Numbers 23:19 states, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
Have u ever pondered on who orchestrated the fleeing of the Syrians? Of course it is the Lord of Host. The Syrians fled leaving all their tents where the food was stored bare.
2Kings 7:16 avers that " Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD."
Interestingly, the Officer who doubted the Prophet was trampled upon at the gate and died , just as the man of God had said.
Never doubt God, the judgement outweighs the gain. There is nothing too hard for God to do.What He says He will do, that is what He will do, that is why He is called Jehovah.
With God nothing is impossible (Matthew 19:26; Luke1:37).
